The following board members were elected at the 2026 National convention or were otherwise appointed.

Chairman Evan McMahon

Evan McMahon

Evan McMahon is Chair of the Libertarian Party of Indiana (LPIN) since 2021 and currently serves as Secretary of the Libertarian National Committee (elected July 2025). His prior national roles include Executive Director of the Libertarian National Campaign Committee (LNCC) and At-Large Representative on the Libertarian National Committee. He has worked as campaign manager or advisor for multiple high-profile Libertarian candidates and has received the Joe Hauptmann Campaign Leadership Award (2012). He has written op-eds on ballot access challenges and party viability.

He is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. In 2015, he founded Bad Evan Productions, an independent film production company specializing in horror and slasher genres. In 2020, he launched CurdledTV, a streaming platform for indie horror films.

His stated key goals include:

  • Grow dues-paying/sustaining members (≥$25/year) from ~9,000 to 60,000–66,000 by 2028 (campaign site: 60k; LP announcement/coverage: 66k).
  • ~730,000 registered Libertarians nationwide.
  • Increase annual fundraising to ~$4 million.

Vice Chair Amanda Griffiths

Amanda Griffiths

Amanda Griffiths is Secretary of the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin. She is a frequent contributor to the Libertarian Party of North Carolina website and Young Voices. Griffiths is an organizer and foundational member of the LPAlliance, serving on its Admin, Media, and Communications teams and as Editor of its publication, The Torch, and an active member of the Libertarian Party Radical Caucus.

She holds an M.A. from the University of Chicago and is a PhD student focusing on political theory and international relations with an emphasis on Machiavelli. She previously was a Managing Editor for the Cato Institute's Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives.

Griffiths is Regional Vice-Chair for North America in the International Alliance of Libertarian Parties, where she serves as Policy & Strategy Chair. Alongside Evan McMahon, she aims to scale the LPAlliance model through LNC channels to build the party into a global hub.

Treasurer Douglas Knebel

Douglas Knebel

Douglas Knebel is a South Carolina-based finance professional. With approximately 25 years of experience in corporate finance, he previously served as an LNC At-Large Representative from August 2025 to May 2026, during which he was a member of the Audit Committee and participated in key decisions such as selecting the site for the 2028 National Convention.

Secretary Jonathan McGee

Jonathan McGee

Jonathan McGee previously served as Region 2 Representative on the National Committee until his removal in May 2026. He previously served as Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of Alabama (2022–2023) and as Executive Director of the state party. McGee has been a longtime activist and delegate from Alabama to the 2022 and 2024 national conventions. He has served on multiple national subcommittees, including the Awards Committee and Special Investigatory Committee.

Steven Nekhaila — LNC At-Large (Appointed)

Steven Nekhaila became a founding member of the Libertarian Party of the Florida Keys in 2014, which later merged into the Libertarian Party of Florida. He served as Chair of LP Florida from 2019 to 2023, then as an LNC At-Large member from 2024 to 2025. In February 2025, following the resignation of Angela McArdle, he was elected LNC Chair.

During his chairmanship, Nekhaila renewed LP engagement with Libertarian International (formerly the IALP), which had recently voted to relocate its operations to the United States. He is a franchise owner of multiple restaurant chains, including Dairy Queen and Wendy's, based in Tavernier in the Florida Keys.

Kelly Nguyen — LNC At-Large (Delegate-Elected)

Kelly Nguyen

Kelly Nguyen ran as a Republican candidate for U.S. Congress in Georgia’s 5th District in 2010. That cycle drew national attention as Democrats faced a competitive Republican field in a district long held by John Lewis.

She later transitioned to Libertarianism through the Ron Paul movement and became active in the Libertarian Party of Georgia (LPGA) as an activist and campaign consultant.

In 2023, she was elected as an At-Large member of the Libertarian Party of Hawaiʻi (LPHI) Executive Committee, a position she resigned from within weeks.

She serves an operational role with the LP Alliance, serving as their on-site organizer at the August 2025 LPHI State Convention in Hilo.

Keith Thompson — LNC At-Large (Delegate-Elected)

Keith Thompson

Keith Thompson became active in the LP during the 2010s through Louisiana party work. He served as Communications Officer for the Libertarian Party of Louisiana from 2016 to 2022, then as District 5 Representative on the Louisiana state central committee from 2022 to 2023. He was elected as the LNC Region 3 South Alternate at the 2024 convention, then elevated to Region 3 South Representative in February 2025.

Institutional ties: Thompson is a member of the LP Radical Caucus. He is the designer of the LP's Torch Eagle Logo, the flame-and-eagle emblem now part of LP national branding. He volunteers with the LP's Historical Preservation Committee and serves on the Advertising & Publication Review Committee and Platform Committee at the national level. Richard Longstreth — LNC At-Large (Appointed)

Richard Longstreth

Richard Longstreth ran for Colorado's 2nd Congressional District as the Libertarian candidate in 2016 and was elected Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of Colorado in 2017. He received endorsement from the Radical Caucus in 2017. He served as LNC At-Large Representative from 2018 to 2022, during which time he was associated with the pragmatist/classical liberal faction within the party. He returned to the LNC in 2026 through a post-convention LNC appointment.

Within days of his appointment, he submitted a formal Point of Privilege to new Chair McMahon requesting an immediate pause on all pending LP trademark litigation, a notable early signal of his policy priorities.

Bill Redpath — LNC At-Large (Delegate-Elected)

Bill Redpath has been an LP member since 1984. He served as Chair, LP Virginia (1989–1991 and 2014–2016), as LNC member (1989–1993 and 2003–2020), LNC Treasurer (1991–1993 and 2003–2004), Chair, LP Ballot Access Committee (1990–1997), LNC Chair (2006–2010), LP National Ballot Access Coordinator (ongoing), LP Hall of Liberty inductee (2016).

He has run for office as a Libertarian nine times across Virginia and Illinois and is currently the LP nominee for the Ohio US Senate special election. billredpath.com | Ballotpedia

Redpath serves as Treasurer of Citizens in Charge and the Citizens in Charge Foundation, organizations dedicated to protecting and expanding citizen initiative and referendum rights. He was Treasurer and Board Member of FairVote from 1995 to 2020, a national electoral reform nonprofit that advocates for ranked-choice voting and proportional representation.

He is also a co-plaintiff in an Illinois ballot access lawsuit challenging state ballot restrictions, filed alongside RFK Jr. and the Libertarian Party of Illinois.

Redpath is the managing Director at Summit Ridge Group (Chicago-based financial advisory and business valuation firm). He holds a CPA (active Illinois license), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation (ASA), and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation.
